retaining clips problems with the 3.0 L ?

Can someone tell me about retaining clip issues in the valve train with the 3.0 L motor?

How likely is someone to have this failure?

Is it mileage related, driving style or time that creates the failure?



What does it cost to fix?

The retainers are just soft. I'm sure with mileage the chance goes up for a failure. But you don't see many of them. The hardened 3.2 retainers will last longer.

just dont redline to 7200 every shift and you'll be fine.
