VERY QUICK QUESTION for anyone using MANN oil filters (in the middle of the job)

Im in the middle of my first oil change for my M3. I got a Mann filter and with the filter came a bag with the two O rings and two washers. One is for the oil filter housing.



The other one fits the drain plug and is quite thick but it is not copper and is much thinner (the ring portion looking at it laying flat on a table) than the copper one I removed from the car.





MY question is is that the drain plug washer??? Or should I reuse the copper one that came off the car??

If the ring fits. They are all different sizes, and can't be mixed up.

As long as the ring fits snuggly, right around the, ehem, shaft. You should be fine.
