97 m3 convertible vs coupe weight

I am looking for a 97-99 m3 convertible or hardtop. What is the weight/performance difference?

Hi mate, I've got a 98 convertable M3 EVO 3.2, just had a look in the handbook, not a noticeable difference in performance.



Convertable - 1635Kg, 0-62 in 5.6 secs.

Coupe - 1535kg, 0-60 in 5.5 secs

I guess those numbers are with passenger too...i think the normal curb weight for the coupe is around 3218lbs...and the verte is about 3440lbs.



And like J2D said...the performance is pretty similar with the obvious edge going to the coupe

i think we are going to have to start asking where they are from when they don't put it on there info.. stuff gets so confusing.. why couldn't we just get the EVOs over here.. grrrrrrrr..
