    All 3.2 OBDI guys...HELP!!!

Hey guys, I'm about to freak out over here :angryfire

I'm trying to get a 3.2 motor from BMW and have them install it. Talked to a tech and said it was an easy swap and that he has done it before (I know what has to be done to do the swap, by the way).

But now, BMW is telling me that they can't cover it under warranty because the engine is not "made" for my '95. The parts manager even claimed they had done this before and had numerous problems with it (electrical). They even tell me they won't sell me a 3.2 :confused !

WTF am I to do? Should I let them bend me over and just accept going w/ the 3.0? ($10,000 for everything) After busting my motor, I thought this would be the perfect oppurtunity to upgrade.

Has anybody had any problems at all with this swap? Cause I have heard of none, and it's leading me to believe for some reason BMW is B.S.ing me.

If you are paying for it, I don't see what the problem is. And if they don't want to accept your money, find an independent shop that will.

Don't let bmw do that "Can't install" **** on you. Go to a shop and say i want this, tell bmw we need a 3.2L and lets have fun.

My car is a 95 OBDI with the 3.2 S52 and have not had any issues, electrical or otherwise. Sounds like they are just trying to adhere to the CYA policy. They don't want you to come back with a problem and say it is their fault for installing the "wrong" part in the car. See if you can find a compromise from them . . .
