    E36 M3 vs. Infiniti G35 with new 6-spd

What do you guys think? I work at a rental car company and recently had some problems with my own car, so I rented a G35 for the night. I was pretty impressed. In a couple months they're coming out with a short-throw 6-spd manual transmission, and that really got my interest. Bottom line is obviously I have to test-drive both, but anybody already driven both? The G35 has a 280hp V-6, so I was wondering how the two would compare. Thanks for the input.

Next G35 comes out with 298 hp in a couple months.. I'd definitely consider it one over an E36 M3.

The new ones will have 298hp? Wonder why they moved them ahead of the 350z's?

Unless the twin turbo 350z is scheduled to come out, that'd make sense

It's a new car. It has more power, probably handles wonderfully. Has great brakes. Most likely the stereo is great. Probably feels a bit more like an appliance though. I am of the opinion that numbers do not make a car fun. I haven't driven a G35. I bet it is great.

The 350Z will have 298 hp as well. Only the manual G35 will have 298. The auto will have less.

All I can say is the G35 is the sh*t. I drove my cousins and that thing is so nice. Stock exhaust sounds really nice to. Sorry to say but I would take a g35 over a e36 M3 anyday.

I'd be lucky to see 1 E36 M3 besides mine in a week, coupe or sedan.

Will this be the G35 sedan & M3 sedan or the G35 coupe & M3 coupe?
