    - Clear Answer -

I tried searching for this but I couldnt

    get a clear answer..

Does bleeding the brakes require a special diagnostics tool

to open an ABS valve in order to remove all the air from the system?

    Thanks

No. I flushed my brakes with a pressure bleeder and had no problems. Thats more along the lines if you brake apart the lines near the ABS control unit, or if you replace the ABS control unit.

What about when installing braided brake lines

It shouldn't be a problem really. Keep the resivour cap closed and you'll lose less fluid.

Get a Bentley manual They give instructions for bleeding the brakes properly.

Just remember, the bleed/flush order is: RR, LR, RF, LF.

              Thanks,

The reason I bring it up is because in all the books I have on the car

They all say bleed the brakes at the dealer.

Think that is just as a saftey precaution??
