M50/S50 manifold swap question

How many miles to the gallon are you getting after the mod?

Anywhere between 17 and 30. Depending on my driving of course. On the rare occasion, it'll go over 35ish. Very rare though.

So it looks to me like the M50 manifold is a good mod, but doesn't kick in until around 4800rpm.



For what I use the car for, I think I'd be better off with the S52 manifold for now. I rarely see 5k rpms daily driving, unless I'm passing someone on the highway I'll take 4th to around 5500 for a quick grin.



When the time/money comes down the road, I'd like to add some power. Either the sunbelt cam kit, Twin Screw SC or maybe S54 swap :nixweiss:



For now I think I'll keep the motor stock and do some suspension/maintenance stuff.

thanks... i thought long and hard about doing the m50 conversion but i love the mid range torque too much. torque + nyc traffic = fun.
