That's all it does right now - Roll into the garage, and roll out.

I feel that. After all, I'm the azzhole who traded in a Honda that ran like a sewing machine for an Audi with more crap to go wrong in the drivers' seat alone than in the whole S2000...

And a spacious interior with the best OEM seats I've ever farted on!

Do you miss the S2000 at all? I mean, aside from the top-down motoring and the whole close-cabin jet fighter aspect of it, which something that I also love about the car, but the S4 is just so much...MORE overall car, that I don't think I'd be regretting the upgrade one bit.

It's too bad you can't have the S4 and the S2000 in the same garage. Then all bases are covered. :/

Man, don't remind me. I tried to justify having both cars, but we don't have the room and it seemed like such a waste of money given that I don't have that much time to drive 2 diff cars, but within reason that would have been about as cool a garage as possible.

I've written about the S2k here before, but now that I have the S4, the things I miss are: gearbox, top down, simplicity of operation and of build, easy of driving, rev happy yet solid engine, and size (the S4 still feels too big.)

BUT, you are right the S4 is so much more car. Other than on a track (and then only maybe in the hands of a great driver) the S2000 would be eaten alive by the S4. The grip and composure of the S4 is in a different league. It takes highway curves at 90mph when the same curve in the Honda would make you very nervous. It also has twice the cylinders and displacement, so even with the extra weight it walks on the S200 every time in every situation.

And the interior and luxury are superb. Audi interiors are just staggeringly good.

One day, I'll get another S2000 to complement it, or maybe a last gen Miata, since I really don;t need the power now that I have the 340bhp S4 and the S2000's biggest weakness was 1 or 2 tenths of feel lacking, which the Miata makes up for. Wouldn't be seen dead in the current Miata though. Wouldn;t kick a used MR spyder out of bed either.

Yeah. I've got that disparity problem between what I want, and what I can afford and have room for as well. So be it - All things in time.

The big question is when you are going to make it up to North Haven one of these weekends to hang out. I got a new camera, you know, and I've been itching to use it on something other than boring old BMWs.

I'm down. Maybe we can do something at some point this summer when the weather gets a little better -- although it's not bad today. We can invite Ben and I will compare V-8's with him...

I wouldn;t mind some of your camerawork on my new ride!

maybe i'll go test drive it, kick the tires a bit, it sure would be easier if they'd give me what i want for my A4 as a trade in instead of having to deal with private selling it...but then again, I did start lurking around here because I was interested in a E36 M3, haha.

WoW! While I do agree the car looks great in all aspects. Why bump an almost two year old thread? :cluless:
