    95 Alarm Remote

I have a 95 with a build date of 9/95. When I got it the seller did not have the remote for the alarm. I did some research which suggested that the remote for that car is the three-button one with the chip that needs to be programmed by locating the alarm module under the glovebox. Is that true? Or do I need the 2-button one that is programmed by the easier door/key/etc. sequence?

    Thanks.

My 95 has the 3 button guy. Very old school. I want to figure out a way to get a more modern looking one

I took the two button alarm from my 99 M3 and plugged it directly into my my 95 M3.

Everything works with the exception of the hood switch.

you need to find out for sure what alarm you have if it's the EWS 3G, then i can tell you how to program the 2 button, grey and red buttoned, alarm, if you have to paper work then remove your glove box and take a look. PM me or post here when you know.
