I'll be sure to yank on it like crazy the next time we meet up to test your handiwork.
Hey...Don't Yank my Mirror! We should do a photo shoot with your car and my Corrado as they are almost the same colour and the two rarest cars in North America for 94-95.

Different problem, but my driver's side power mirror doesn't work. When I flip the switch to the driver's side and try to move it, nothing happens. I do however hear a clicking from my passenger side window, like it's trying to do something.

Have anyone had this problem?? Sounds like a wiring issue to me? Or is the motor just blown?

I'd love to see the Corrado in person sometime soon.

when I came back today to my parked M3 the driver side mirror was hanging lose on the wire loom, looks like someone pushed it out. Seem nothing damaged, no scrachtes, also the 3 pop out pins are still there, the brackets are intakt with the steel clips inside.

Tried to push the 3 pins back into the bracket, but the clips are quite strong. Before I break the pins:

Do I have to remove the bracket first from the door and unscrew something from the back that the pins slip in without breaking? ETK does not show details

I used a bit of silicone spray, but did not help. Maybe I did not push enough?

Edit: use lithium grease for the pins and clips and really PUSHED hard on the mirror and the pins went into the clips of the base. Done, thanks.

Maybe it helps someone with similar problem.

Glad it worked out for you. And yes, they are tough to get back in the first time.
