I have had the ZHP knob on my E36M3 for years, no illumination. Bought the 6 speed version for my E90M3 but have not installed it yet because I was going to try to mod it for the light. People have done it but it is a pain. How did you do yours?

Neither one of mine is lit haha. It would be nice, but just can't be bothered to deal with it.



If my understanding is correct, you need to get am F10 M5 MT knob. Then you have to modify the shift boot to make it work, or something along those lines. I know someone who did it and I think he told me it took about 2 hours.

You can drill out the ZHP knob and transfer the stock knob light. But it looks like a delicate job and I have had the knob for a year and not done anything with it so I should just install it as is.
