1. Find a drill bit that matches the diameter of your carabiner clipOriginally posted by SIDEWAYSThe tool looks good, but I"m not completely clear on what exactly you did. What is a carbinger clip? And what exactly did you drill? Lastly, is it permanently attached to the top of the shock?
2. Drill a matching hole into the Koni Knob centered from below
3. Remove the carabiner clip and trim with a dremel if required
4. Drill a very small hole on the side of the knob align the pin hole in the carabiner with the drill hole.
5. Create a new pin with a small finishing nail.
The tool does not stay on the koni...I just took a picture with it sitting on the shock to demonstrate there is not much play.
The carabiner I used was aluminum...not the kind u climb with...one u hook on a backpack.

I see, so that particular carabiner clip coincidentally happens to fit perfectly over the Koni shock adjustment piece? I say this because the other example of a carabiner clip (mountain climbing type?) posted by another member doesn't seem to have a rectangular receptor to fit over the Koni. And lastly, how did you remove that one piece from the rest of the carabiner clip? You said it's aluminum, so did you have to hack it off?Originally posted by T21. 1)yes it does actualy. The "rectangular" you're referring is the side about which the linkage rotates, not the side that clips into the rest of the carabiner
2) sawzall, small drill, whatever ghetto-fab method of your choosing to dismantle a carabiner clip. Or you can go to your local carabiner manufacturing plant and ask for a souvenir
