turn the radio on for an hour and wait. the power to the radio must be uninterrupted for at least an hour. then try again.



i know with the porsche radio after say three tries it gets locked for an hour, after something like fifteen tries it gets permanently locked and you have to send it to a becker authorized shop that will charge you more than a unit on sale from crutchfield costs to unlock it.

Great, so now all it is good for is a paper weight?

Was it owrthmuch more than a paper weight before it got locked? I think so - it is the only place i can play my casettes without getting bothered by a kid that wants to hear miley or jonas.

The problem may be that it was sitting out of the car for 2-3 weeks..... It came from my car and I do have the code, the damn thing just wont accept it. Maybe it will accept a wooden baseball bat

The number of times I entered the code should have exceeded that 15 limit. What I had to do was leave the ignition on for 90 minutes, not just hooked up in the back as i thought, and then enter the code. Worked. Now I have radio.

Im glad you got it before i had to go through the owners manual to see the details.



i checked the radio owners manual and it doesnt mention the 15 times like the porsche owners manual. it says after three failures the radio has to be left on for one hour.
