New to forum and I just bought my first M3

    Hey everyone.

    I just picked up a 95 M3 with 120k on it.

Needs a couple of odds and ends but all around a very nice car.

    I've had 98 528i and my Wife has a 98 328i

    I've always wanted a M3

    I think I found a good one.

    No funny noises.

    All the service records.

    New clutch 6k ago

    Brakes 2k ago

    diff was rebuilt 16k ago

I'm looking to daily drive this car and do some SCCA events with it as well

I'm hoping you guys can point me in the right direction with some upgrades.

Also is the M on the speedo cluster suppost to light up at night?

It kinda looks like it could have at one time.

    Thanks

P.S. I install auto glass so if anyone in the Wisconsin area needs a deal or has any questions I'm more than happy to help.

The ///M doesn't and never did light up.

    Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance.

First thing I'd do is inspect every suspension bushing. Then determine how old the radiator and water pump are. They really are 80-100K mile replacement items.

New wiper blades. Funny how nobody ever mentions them, but they can be real lifesavers.

What do you mean by "Events"? if you mean competing, then you better figure out what class you want to be in. There is no point in doing a few mods only to find out that they have put you in a class where the best you can do is to run in the back all the time.

If you just mean something like Friday at the track then some decent brake pads, and seat time. Until you have several, DE days under your belt, all mods are going to do is make the car faster when it leaves the track. Even an old worn out M3 is probably faster than you are... Funny how everybody thinks their last name is Schumacher....
