Shopping for new rotors & pads.

Can you guys suggest an online store to shop for rotors & pads?

I prefer Brembo rotors (OE replacement), it seems like no one really has them in stock.

    Thanks,

I've always thought that ATE was the OE supplier, but it's been a long time since I've seen an OE rotor...

          Turner has some decent options/packages

I would go OE for rotors, and highly recommend the E36 M3 Front Euro Floating Brake Rotors, though they seem to be hard to find at the moment.

Brembo is a great choice though if you go another route.

I used bimmerworld, but basically just OEM blanks and some hawk HPS pads. Pretty happy with the setup.

If you're looking for some SERIOUS rotors and pads, buy Performance Friction. They are a bit pricey but defiantly worth it. I'd only buy them if you are going to drive the car seriously, not as an everyday commuter. I bought some slotted rotors from Turner and HPS pads and they work great on my daily driver M3.

I've got a 1k mile front set of Brembo blanks and Axxis ultimates. I got them from Importrp.com. They are MINT, had them on the car for only a week while I waited for my BBK to ship.

I'll have a 5k mile rear set in a few weeks for sale too.

you sure brembo rotors are factory? Many porsches came from the factory with brembo calipers and zimmerman rotors.

I dont think there is a difference between brembo and zimmerman. I think the best price for M3 rotors i found was either paragon or rmeuropean. there may be a rmeuropean discount floating around that someone can post. i think i deleted the email.

i bought a set of cool carbon pads from bavauto on sale last year. I used them on zimmerman rotors and they were a nice street track pad.

I just looked at importrp.com, and saw the ridiculous price on OPparts and Meyle Front rotors ($27, $35, Clicky)

has anyone tracked those rotors? The price looks good but I don't want to die.....

you sound like a little girl. you are not going to die. they may warp or wear quicker. The worst that will happen is they get small heat cracks which means very little to club racers. You dont know what kind of rotors were on the car when you bought it and you didnt die.

now take a few deep breaths, convince yourself the real danger is over, and see if people had good results with the chinese rotors. I know when i spoke to the guys at paragon a while back the chinese ones they sell for porsches have had no complaints by street drivers.

who made the best swords, etc for thousands of years? chinese metalurgy is not in the stone age.

wait, maybe toyotas dont have acceleration problems, maybe they have chinese rotors which negates all i just said.

Are you just looking for like-for-like replacement, or upgrades?
