This is so common.. happened to me too. I just run with the hood sensor unplugged. Problem solved!Originally posted by 98///M3This.
When I first got my car, I had a weird problem that consisted of me locking the car, arming the alarm, walking about 20 feet away, and the alarm would go off! I figured out eventually that my hood sensor was bad.
Basically disconnect the battery, get new keys to your house taken care of (if need be) then worry about the car.

My son's Prelude was broken into in our driveway (year ago or so) and the Police were astounded that his information was not stolen out of the glove box. They said the thieves can sell the registration and insurance info over the internet and then folks in countries far far away can easily commit ID theft.
The police went on to say that the info in the glove box is stolen more than often any other item now days. Often it's the ONLY thing the thieves take.
Locking the glove box often stops them.
They told us that the thieves that hit us had to be beginners.....
You probably will not get visited by your thieves but your problems may not be over.
Good luck!
