I use rubber gloves and warm water in cold weather and that seems to work. No pain no gain.

I have a question for you, why did you wash the rims after you wiped the car off? Wash car, wash rims, rinse car and rims, wipe car off.


Also, idk if you noticed but, you drove through a million puddles while driving.

It's actually supposed to be wash your rims first, then wash the car. The reason being that if you wash the car first, the rims usually take the longest and soap/water will dry and cause more issues on the body.

I actually give the car a good rinse before I move onto my rims though. I also figure that I would use the old soapy water leftover from washing the car to clean the rims.


My DSIIs are usually really clean. In the summer I like being outside so I wash my car twice a week or so. I usually spray a degreaser on the rims previous to starting to wash the car and then move onto the process previously stated. That way by the time I get to my rims the degreaser would have cut any of the tougher gunk.


I also use a staining paint brush to get in between the spokes too. Works great. Eff the rim brushes!!!

Oh yeah, wheel wax rocks. The brake dust comes right off. My LTW's have been on both of my M's with a total of 220k, and they look 90% new

It's definitely a big help. And I actually just use regular old caranauba wax.

I don't know why everyone is being so critical.. that was some classic driving music.


It's nice to hear engine noise, but for a video of this sort, it would be out of place. It's not as if you were ripping around and losing the tail at each intersection, it was just a relaxing cruise video and I enjoyed it.


Everyone can keep talking, but until they make a video worthy of praise, I'm on your side.
