    Intro thread (finally)

I'm finally getting around to do an intro thread, I've been trolling for months. I sold my '05 325i Sport w/ 5 spd in January and bought a '95 Hellrot on Black, 5 spd Coupe from a buddy. Man I love this car. I got it for a good price, but didn't know how much needed done to it.

Mods the car had on it when I got it:

    1. Dinan chip

    2. AC Schnitzer pedal covers

    3. Clear Euro front turn signals and side markers

    4. Aftemarket head unit

    5. K&N filter

Here's what I've done to it so far:

    1. Leatherique'd the seats, they are in really good shape, some light white "cracks", no tears, some of the threads on the drivers bolster are worn

    2. Fixed brake light switch

    3. Fixed sagging glove box

    4. Replaced the head unit with a Bluetooth capable Alpine

    5. Replaced the original shocks with Bilstiens (old ones were beyond toast), front and rear shock mounts and reinforcements.

    6. New stock M3 floormats

    7. Fixed window regulators

    8. Installed ZCP wieghted shift knob, it's awesome

    9. Replaced fuse in 18-button OBC control unit

    10. Installed Euro tailights

    11. Replaced cooling system: rad, themo, alluminum thermo cover, composite water pump, hoses. I bought the entire kit from Turner

    12. Turner underdrive pulley kit

    13. I was driving the car 20 minutes after buying the new cooling system and the tails when the clutch pedal got stiff and on the second attempt to push there was a snap and parts started falling out of the foot well. The pressure plate seized up and I broke the pedal spring system and the shaft of the master cylinder. Had to replaced the spring system, naster cylinder, slave cylinder and clutch. Swapped in a SS clutch line.

    14. Replaced guibo

    15. Upgraded RTABs

    16. Installed Euro 3-spoke steering wheel. Best thing I've done to the car.

    Still to be done:

    1. Replace driver's side door card, separating

    2. I bought a parted out Hellrot trunk lid b/c the metal around my latch is warping, still haven't installed. No hurry

    3. Replace headlights with glass

    4. Need to check the ABS sensors

    5. Full repaint. Clearcoat damaged on front bumber cover and both mirrors and stone chips and dings all over

    6. Brakes will need refreshing/upgrade at some point.

    7. I'd like to replace the DSI's with LTW's

    8. Replace crappy Nitto tires with PS2s or Conti DW

    9. Under tray

    10. X brace

    11. Dinan exhaust

    So that's my story.

    Lane

    '95 M3 Hellrot on Black, 5Spd, 113k (DD)

'80 633CSi, Graphite on Gobibeige, 4spd Man, 45k miles (weekender)

'03 530i, White on Beige, Auto, Dinan exhaust, engine & trans chips, Stage II suspension (wife's car)

The repaint should be on the bottom of the list as that is usually the most expensive and time involved fix.

Looks good from what I can READ.

              Some pics.

I'd already forgotten about the hack job a PO had done installing a security system. I cut that all out and installed an new plug so that I can add a keyless entry system later.

Edit: I added the attachments, but they aren't showing up.

                  2. Added the wired oil pump nut, mechanic said origianl came off with his fingers, close call

                  3. Replaced the cover over the rad, clips were broken

                  4. Replaced air hose to alternator, had a huge hole in the side

                  5. Replaced the door handle covers and gaskets

                  6. Bought a used ABS Pump to rewire and replace the original faulty one

                  7. Bought a new cowl, not yet installed

                  8. Bought a new rear parcel shelf, will replace this weekend, old one was faded to purple
