It would cost you $3k just to get it to look right.

Sort of makes me think of the tin man from the wizard of oz.

This is a great find to file under the "delusional seller" category. :lolpalm: at the 20k asking price.

Disclaimer: I'm a fan of paint-matched moldings on these cars, especially on lighter colors like silver, but I agree you definitely need some contrast like a black front lip/black rear diffusor/black doof handles/bumper grill to pull it off.

It isnt that bad. There was a thread on BFC about this car. Its certainly not worth the 20k thats advertised but this car is worth around 16k. Its in pristine condition and is nicely moded, minus a few things. Here are some more pictures. You'd need to paint the moldings, remove the bumper, skirts and de-lux the interior.

                Thanks for the link.

Mods, especially esthetic mods, are highly personal and IMO don't add much to the value of a car. This car, even at $16k, would require a special buyer. Remove the body kit and we'll talk.

Of course it has a Dinan SC on it. Anyone that has the loot to pay for silly body modifications definitely has the loot to get all fancy under the hood. I swear most of the :headscratcher: E36Ms out there have Dinan SCs on them.

Tin man. That was my first thought too.

$20K? What a steal! Want the buyer to bend over too?

Just wondering why he didn't paint that grille in silver too, while he was at it. I mean everything else is tinned except the tires.

I can't even imagine how it looks inside or under the hood.

Yeah not really what I would choose to buy for $20k. To each their own though!

                          You fail

Still dont understand the big deal about this car. Yes, $20k is a high price but I can almost guarantee this car is cleaner then most cars on this forum. I'm guessing this car has zero dents/scrathes, paint work is probably excellent and mechanically I'd bet its up to date. It has Dinan everything and although I'm not a huge fan of Dinan products, they still sell for good money.

What, not enough stretch/slammed for some of you?

                            OUCH!

I just don't get the zero-contrast look, and on silver it is even worse than black/murdered out. Not a fan of the body kit either. Now, all the Dinan bits, well that stuff would be sweet!

I'm with you, the car definitely needs a few changes. Get rid of the lux interior, new bumper, skirts and paint the moldings black. You're looking at no more then $700 for this car to look great. I'd bet this car could be had for $16.5 - $17k. If you decide you didnt want the Dinan Supercharger, you sell it for $3k and then you'd basically have a great condition car for $13-$14k.
