9006 Bulbs in DEPOs?

Can I use 9006 bulbs for the low beams in my DEPO headlights? I'm looking to remove the HIDs that are in there now.

No. They're H1 bulbs, not 9006.

You don't care about what connector the H1 has, it's inside the light housing. You do care about the connection fron the wiring harness to the back of he light. You need a plug and play connector. One end plugs into the 9005, 9006 plugs in the harness, and the other end plugs into the back of the housing.

The connections are internal. The H1 bulb sits in the housing for it on the back of the projector bowl (or reflector in the case of the high beams). There's a blade connector that goes to the bulb, and connectors that ground the projector. The wires go to a 4 pin connector on the back of the light.



You should have the plug and play harness that goes from that connector to the wiring in the car...otherwise you would not have high beams. Check the connections and plug the connectors into their proper connectors in the car.



The color codes for the wires should be on the bottom of the light, it it should come with instructions. But just in case color codes *should* be as follows (looking from the back of the light)

Top - High beam - White

Right - Ground - Brown

Left - Low beam - Yellow

Bottom - City light - Gray





Connector with the white wire (and a ground) should already be connected to the high beam. Just connect the one with the yellow connector (and a ground) to the low beam and double check everything.

Correct. If the harness is there, and noone has stripped out the internal wiring inside the light, you just need to pop the bulbs in and connect everything.
