    What now?

What's the thing you feel is the next thing you need to fix on your car right now?

    #2
Caliper rebuild on right rear wheel (might as well do all four with a flush)... and to figure out why I keep getting a P0133 CEL error.

Find the rumble in my drive train. I think my CSB is going...

Figure out why the left high beam wiring harness shorted.

        Rework the headliner.

        Refinish the drip rails.

        Refinish the trim strips.

I am sure there's more...why do I like this car? (that is what my wife is always saying...)

I haven't quite written out the lost if to-dos, but in my head its very long.

After I finish up with the vanos rebuild and ofhg, probably going to fix my bumper (cracked up) and refinish the wheels. After that, I'm thinking brakes, then interior such as door cards, headliner, steering wheel. Also I need to finish off the trunk, I'm thinking of doing a wood floor but not certain yet.

I've spent the last year replacing mostly little things like glove box light. vents stero etc. Right now it's all about the seats and headliner. though not bad but looking tired.

My SMG accumulator needs replacement as it's not holding pressure anymore. Accoring the history, it's likely the original accumulator from 1998.

Already have the new one waiting to be fitted. Now waiting for spring.

Then after fitting and going the bleed procedure with the GT1, I'll take the opportunity to recalibrate the clutch engagement (which is fine btw) but maybe it could be even better.

I already did all stuff needed after I bought it. For the rest it's retrofitting the stuff I pulled out of my 328i that was not in the M3 yet (OEM carphone, H/K sound system, Lumbar suppports).

                    Freaking EVERYTHING.

                    As for specifics...

-Replace the fuel pump & fuel filter, as well as check & replace where necessary all fuel lines.

                    -Charcoal canister.

                    -Fuel cutoff valve.

-There's this incessant rattle coming from underneath the car that seems like a transmission problem that I need to get looked at.

-Replace the rubber door handle gaskets

These are just the short term projects (IE that I want fixed within the month or the next couple months)

short list but stuff i need to look at (but it all functions just fine right now)

                      - fuel pump - though this is questionable. It always takes me two tries to turn the engine over, sometimes it will go on the first start, but always fires on 2nd.

                      - ICV

                      - possible VANOS rattle

                      - clutch, though I need to research because this may have been replaced by PO and exhibits zero issues currently.

                      - 5th gear lean - after engine warms up though this goes away

                      that's it..for now..

RTABs are at the top of my list, and it goes on from there.

Having just got my M3, I don't know if this thread makes me feel better or worse.

Worse in that the list will never end- better in that misery loves company!

(And, yes, I did go in eyes-wide-open as I've been reading in this forum and other locations for months.)

Keeping it general yet complicated: Engine rebuild.

The block in my '95 M3 has been MORE than abused. I have a thread up showing pictures. What a shame. But my goal is to replace everything that needs to be replaced and RESCUE this beauty (it's an eye-sore to many, but in my eyes, it will always be my baby) haha
