Thoughts on M3 for sale

Doesn't look bad, but a leak down test will tell you if the head gasket has resolved a problem. It's probably worth $6500.

Not sure how one can make any judgements based on those pics alone.


At 145k it should not have needed a head gasket unless it was overheated, had the 95 only valve retainer issue or some other problem. Id want to know what happened.


It also has squared 7.5" contour wheels from the looks of it. That's not something most would want b

Not to mention the suspension... its going to need attention. Make sure you have a budget for that.

Daytona is a love or hate color. I actually dig the color but hate 95s (the only year Daytona was offered.)


The interior in that car looks ratty at best.


I'd try to look for a 96+ that's bone stock.

Looks like scratches in the paint and numerous black moldings could use some clean up or a layer of SEM trim black paint. Might be worth taking a look at in person.
