Problem on fixing the cruise control

While I was clean up the throttle body, I found out one of the reason why my cruise control did not work.

I bought this car (E36 M3 S52 coupe US) 2 years ago. At the time I bought it PO told me the cruise control didn't work, he did not know why and did not care. I do not use cruise most of time so this issue has always been on the back burner. Now since I found the problem, at the least one of the problem. I would like to fix it.

The problem is the plastic piece (see attached picture) that holding on the Bowden cable end (I think that is what is called) was broken sometime way in the past. After searching on realoem and other places, I could not find the part number and the name of the broken piece. From realoem, the diagram doesn't seem to even show the broken part on the throttle body. I think I did not find the right diagram for this piece, but I don't know how find it. Does anyone know about this part? Please help. Thanks in advance.

Update: I found some information on this. Just wondering if anyone knows about this recall and am I too late for the recall now?

    From http://www.bmwownersclub.com/forums/...mmon-problems/

"-Throttle valve can get stuck on some models, causing uncontrollable acceleration. This affected 1996 E36’s (410,000 units), but other years may also apply. The problem lies in both the cruise control and throttle cables, where the plastic bushing on the cable end can break, allowing the cable sleeve to get stuck. BMW issued a recall campaign for this, and the solution was to install a spring steel retainer clip on the cable ends to prevent the outer sleeve from dislodging from the bushing."
