    Electrical Hum from Engine?

So today I noticed an odd electrical buzz coming from what I can describe as the middle of the engine when the key is turned to the second position. Can't tell where it is coming from but I can feel it on the fuel rail cover. Any ideas what this might be and how serious a problem it is? Did a search here and didn't find anything. It sounds like a bad ground maybe? Car starts and runs fine.

I did reset my oil service lights by jumping ports 7 and 19 at the service plug after changing the oil. Could that have messed something up? I don't know if it was occurring before the jump since I can't remember the last time I had the hood open with the key turned to the acc position. The hum is not audible from inside the car. Thanks.

If I know what you are talking about, that's common on all 36Ms that I am aware of or have ever owned. Some are louder than others. Some so faint guys won't notice.

It's more of a clicking sound next to your ASC delete rubber boot.

It's a little module that sticks up.

Yeah that's where it is coming from. What's the deal with it? Will replacing that module fix it?

Took this with my iphone... you can see its barley audible with the hood closed. Never noticed it before.
