so i have gone ahead an replaced a pile of stuff, and now if i get it right i get cavitation turing lock to lock, its mostly when turning to one side not the other, cant remember witch side, im away from my car for another week and its been hibernating for winter. it happens when close to the stop, not in the center or normal driving, but in a 3 point turn or parking i manage to cavatate most times. im running a new z3 rack, the bimmerworld AN fitting high pressure line, a piece of oil hose to a new reservoir, and what ever feed line bimmerworld or turner or one of the normal vendors sold me. i threw new seals in my old pump, and found i had this cavitation issue, so i sourced another used pump and threw new seals in it, and the issue got ever so slightly better, now i dont cavatate the pump every single time but its still probably 9 times out of 10.
so im running the lower hoses without restrictors, i dont think whatever feed line i bought had one, there isnt one in the diy return line, and there isnt one in bimmerworlds high pressure line, and it seems the rest of the bimmerworld kit with the AN fitted lower hoses and aluminum reservoir that i do not have upps the fluid capacity and runs a ventless reservoir. i also saw a post here recently about cavatation if the return line isnt the perfect lenth, but i think i matched them when cutting the new one. i also changed this issue slightly with a pump swap, pump had like 180k miles on it so i dunno, "new" one is questionable, im stumped here and im debating purchasing a new oem pump, but i dont see this truly solving the problem, im at the point of mindless throwing parts at it and hoping for the best.
any input?
