I am having a non-start issue with my E36 M3 Coupe. Right now its cranking but not starting, my guess is there's a fuel delivery issue...but first, here are the vehicle specs and a description of how the issue first began...
Vehicle
1996 E36 M3 Coupe
05/May 1996 build date
207,XXX miles
I got the car from a buddy - who bought the car sight unseen. When he finally saw it...he immediately gave up on it haha. It was overheating, infested with spiders and hadn't run/been driven in years. Tursn out all it needed was a lot of elbow grease, tons of insecticide and a full cooling system refresh and she was back to running like a champ.
Im not sure if one of the previous owners converted the car back to OBD1 or not...but here is a shot under the hood and under the dashboard.
I also have a E36 M3 Sedan and this car is MUCH faster (my guess is 20 to 30hp better), so im assuming its been tuned.

Current non-start issues:
One day i drove this beauty to the office, at lunch i came out and sat in it....but when i left i forgot the key in the ignition.
When i returned, the battery was totally drained and the car would not start. After trying to jump the car....nothing improved. We tried bump/push to start...the car still would not start.
At this point i realized that it wasn't a simple lack of voltage....something was actually disabled spark/fuel wise.
I tried fully charging the battery. I tried a NEW battery. The dash lights up, everything seems functional...but when you turn the key, nothing....no crank, no clicking...nada.
I ruled out the starter as the starter was strong before the issue and never gave me issues.
After some research (and towing it home) i concluded that perhaps the EWS and the Key had become out of sync.
here is my key type, its definitely the version with a chip + EWSII system:

I went to the dealer to order a new key, easy enough...but after speaking with the SA, he assured me that it would more than likely be deeper than just a new key....these keys dont usually just deprogram themselves.
So i considered an EWS bypass after looking online and viewing some videos. its worked for some people with the same set up as mine....and not worked for others, i figured it was worth a try.
EWS Bypass:

now after completing the bypass....the car still will not start....but at least the key seems to work now. now, the car at least cranks...the starter is nice & strong and so is the batter (its hooked up to a tender and currently at full strength). i also tried jumping the car thinking that some extra voltage would help...nada.
im thinking that fuel is not being delivered...perhaps the starter rely has been bypassed with the EWS bypass but the fuel system relay isnt allowing fuel to flow?
any thoughts?
Here are my next things to investigate:
I'm still a novice so forgive me if i forgot something simple. Any help would greatly appreciated!

Here are my next things to investigate:
- Fuel relay/fuel pump fuses
- starter relay / ignition relay (controlling spark plugs?)
