That IS a vacuum line. It's not an electrical cable.

While you are doing work, clean your crank position sensor. It's magnetic, and just a little bit of gunk can make the car run like crap. And, you know, cleaning it is easy and free.

Okay that is good news knowing it's a vacuum line. I can pull harder .

As for the crank position sensor I actually have a new one to install. I already tried to replace it but couldn't get my arm and hand to bend correctly. LOL!

that injector O-ring probably tore when you pulled the rail off. otherwise you would have had a catastrophic leak

While I was going thru all the wiring and vacuum lines last night I discovered this device, which I do not know what it is. The electrical connection was already disconnected from it. Wondering if this was part of my problem in the first place?

Anybody know what this is and what it does?

Fuel tank vent valve, I had somewhat of the same issue and nothing changed replacing mine but plugging it back in might help

Had my hopes up. I'll definitely get it plugged in during reassembly. But not expecting it to change much then.

In my situation it ended up being my idle control valve

Was it just dirty and you cleaned it out? I did this about 2 months back with zero improvement .

I got a new one and replaced the hoses with silicone.

                          Update:

Got my car running to the point that it's drivable without worrying about it stalling. This is after 5 months of it sitting in the garage while I search for the fix to get it to idle properly. The latest change is a new silicone intake hose. However, after I pumped in a half tank of fresh gas the car is running nearly flawless. It idles rock steadily. There is still a slight miss at idle but it runs thru the rpms just fine. No longer stalling. The only thing I'll say is that I think it should pull harder than what it does now.

I can really enjoy the car again that I've missed driving nearly half year.

99% of my original issues are solved. Starting is not an issue. Idling is rock steady. Pulling normally.

The 1% problem is occasionally it seems to drop a cylinder or 2 and sound like a Subaru. It still maintains idle and won't stall as before. The acceleration is slow due to the dropped cylinder(s). However, if I turn the car off and restart, the electrics is rebooted and the engine is back to normal running on all 6 cylinders. While I'm glad to have a remedy to this situation when it arises, it's only temporary. What can I check to find this issue?
