Fuel Guage stuck at Half full

I did a search but didn't find anything that fit my situation exactly but it may be the sending units.

Although I just filled up with gas, the needle is at half full. When the car is off, the needle drops to 0 as normal.

How can I tell if my issue is the sending units or something else?

fuel sending issue for sure. From what I know, there's 2 sending units.

Mine got stuck at one lever a year ago. It just started working a few days later with no change. Maybe give it a while.

You could access the hidden menu through the cluster and use the test mode. That will turn on all the lights and more importantly, send the needles through their paces. If the gas needle goes all the way and returns, I'd dig into the senders.....

But that's just me, and I'm somewhat of an idiot.

Looks more half empty to me. Seriously though, its easy to pull the pump out of the tank to see if there is a float or sender issue. Might be stuck or otherwise bad if you can't figure it out with the hidden menu test mode.

Thanks for the tip on the cluster test function, this is the first I've heard about it. I did it and the needle went all the way to full so it sounds like it's the sending unit. Now I just need to figure out which one it is if there are 2.
