First, great work! Second, I vote for stock ambers. I had the front end of my EB painted and it wasn't blended into the doors and I can tell. Can't tell from your pics, but the color looks right. How does the transition from old paint to new look to you? Also, curious how the bumpers match? What paint manufacturer did you use? Finally, how much did all of this set you back?

I'm not doing the body work primarily we have a close family friend that did the work, I only assisted some days after I left work. I can ask about the paint brand.Originally posted by RND1First, great work! Second, I vote for stock ambers. I had the front end of my EB painted and it wasn't blended into the doors and I can tell. Trust me although I didn't expect to find anything I studied the car for 15 mins under daylight it's amazing how well it blends!
As far as how much it set me back I picked the car up salvaged title put about $4500 in initial costs including parts and the labor I can't disclose. But I can say I'm still within reason of a e36 m3 on the market in mint condition even if the title is salvaged the work has been documented and speaks for itself. Once I finish it all I'll put together a complete rebuild thread.

I'm just curious on how much $$ for the paintwork? I understand it's a family friend so won't be a retail price. You're probably paying less for all of that work than I paid for a minor front end respray lol. I was recently quoted $5K - $8K for painting the roof, trunk, quarters, and doors with no bodywork.Originally posted by McGyversM3I'm not doing the body work primarily we have a close family friend that did the work, I only assisted some days after I left work. Yeah less but the entire job I was told would've normally cost 8k, where are you located?Originally posted by RND1I'm just curious on how much $$ for the paintwork? We have family in SI so maybe I need to drive down to your painter?! I'll post up some pics when I get some time. The largest variation in color is rear bumper (plastic) to trunk (metal) transition.Originally posted by McGyversM3You mind sharing pics I'm curious to see the color difference

That's an option, when I see him later I'll give him a heads up. There isn't anyone else who paints the cars in my family and we have 7 bmws collectivelyOriginally posted by RND1We have family in SI so maybe I need to drive down to your painter?!
