    H1 Fog Bulb Suggestions/Opinions

I just installed my new OEM fog lights, but the visibility seem a bit dull. I'm looking for something with nice visibility(Non-HID), and a clean look at the same time. My fogs only have clear Lamin-x, no tint or colors. Looking for suggestions on brand, and color (True OEM color or yellow).

    Thanks

Go to www.powerbulbs.com (UK based company) & order Philips X-treme Vision+130% or Osram Night Breaker Unlimited (+110%). Prices are quite good & shipping from the UK is quick & cheap. Both provide a nice bright white light that will not disappoint.

I ended up going with the H1 Philips Weather Vision 2900k Yellow bulbs. I will post a before and after daytime vs night time picture for anyone inquiring the same question. Sadly it should be 1-2 weeks before they arrive.

They are FOG lights, don't expect to see anything more than 20 ft in front of the car.

I'm not sure I understand the reason for your post. Your statement is common sense, otherwise I'd be asking about headlights. Unless you're trying to argue there's no difference between a generic H1 bulb vs a higher quality as far as output.

There is no difference, that's the point. It's a fog light, the optics are designed to have a low level, diffuse, wide beam, about 20 feet in front of the car. At more than 10 or 15 mph, you can't react fast enough to avoid what it lights up. So yeah, my answer is there is no difference what bulb you use.

I think a cheap, more yellow halogen bulb might be better for the intended use. (As a fog light). But if you're going for the 'I'm that douche with the fog lights on for no reason, cause it looks good' guy, something like a 8000K hid in H-1 base would fit the bill.

I purchased my car with no fog lights, adding them made a huge difference in close range visibility. My IS300 stock fog lights had better output than what these bulbs currently have. I was looking for some suggestions on bulbs. There's a lot of back roads I drive on that have no street lights. I like the assurance of the close rang visibility. Not looking to argue, only wanted some suggestions. There's also a lot of roads I drive on that to your spec I drive under 10mph. I live in the Pacific Northwest.

I've never had a problem with Sliver Star bulbs.
