    Loud top motor tap help!

I was driving and a cinder block fell off a truck and completely destroyed my front bumper and oil pan. I replaced the oil pan pick up tube and pick up tube gasket. Car ran great with no taps for a couple days on Jack stands once I lowered it down it began to tap. Oil level is good I'm using 10w30.

-The engine shut off by itself, or you turned it off when it get hit. How long was it running after the hit?

-Which windage tray do you have under the rotating assembly? You swapped the tray over from the E34 pan and it's still in there running with the E34 pickup tube? New gasket on the pickup?

-Have you put an oil pressure gauge on it somewhere to check the oil pressure?

That sounds like bottom end noise from the video, but it's higher pitched than typical bottom end noise/knock. Is it coming from the block or the head?

It's coming from the head it's without a doubt an upper engine noise. It shut itself off and on using the 525i kit for an s52 swap on the e30

At first I reused a shitty pick up tube gasket then the noise started to happen when in and changed the gasket could I need to bleed my lifters ?

Did you damage your oil pump or gear or timing chain or guides?
