I'm a similar size to you at 5'9 175 and the vaders aren't bad. A little sportier than the sport seats and equally as mediocre for comfort. Much better asthetically though.

They're iconic seats, look fantastic, and really just finish off the whole aesthetic of an E36 M3. That being said, I think they do look a little weird in a very with the top down. It's something about the rounded head rest sticking up in a sea of horizontal lines.



Top down, they look the part. My only complaint about Vaders is the pronounced lumbar. They're not quite as comfortable as my sedan sport seats. But then again, my sedan sport seats have been sitting in the basement for a few years now.

They look great and the bottom section is nice. Comfort on long drive sucks, but my biggest issue is the complete lack of side bolstering.



For comparison, my E92 M3 seats with the bolters opened all the way up has more lateral support than my Vaders. And on a car that's supposed to handle like the e36, that's a problem.

6'1" 175lbs and i loved my vaders. Did many long road trips in them including 22 hours non stop without any back problems whatsoever. My sedan sport seats are nice but i found myself getting out every couple of hours to stretch.

I'm just jealous that you guys even have the option. I *HATE* the E46 vert front seats but there are no alternatives, because the seat belt got moved into the seat itself, which sucks.

This is what I find strange about vaders, they look like they would be a very supportive seat. I'm a pretty skinny 5'9" 160lbs soaking wet and I think I'm just too small for them as I slide around in them. I do like the looks of a mint set though, they can be great looking.
