    Tracking an auto?

So an event is coming up, and I had hoped the e36 would be sold, and I'd be in another M3 that wasn't auto. Doesn't look like it will sell before the event, and not going is a boring option, so I'll be out there with the wrong transmission. Anyone track these before and have any advice on what setting to run in?

Can you mostly keep it in auto sport mode, or do you try and use the manual mode, and run through 3/4? A little worried about doing the manual mode, as I've never tried it, and I feel I might get confused out there with it..

Crossing my fingers I'll have a new toy by then, but curious as to how to track the auto in general.

    Cheers

There's a dude who used to be around here who tracks his auto( I think he's missing a leg) and does a great job. Forgot who though.

If we are thinking of the same guy, silver sedan IIRC, I think he was paralyzed from the waist down. But, OP, yes nonetheless people track their autos.

I would just put it into sport mode and call it a day.

Thing is, sport mode is pretty sloppy, still. Worried about it deciding to down shift mid apex and send me sliding off the ****ing track like a *******

I have until July 24th apparently (thought it was June 4th for some reason) so hopefully I wont have to experience it.
