Yes I searched... P1421, P1423, P1250, P0455 are the codes my E36 M3 has been giving me. I know 1421 and 1423 and SAP related and I don't really care about those. I bought the car over a year ago with that problem and it doesn't really bother me. What bothers me is P1250 since its so vague and could mean fuel pressure regulator. The car does have a faint raw gas smell when standing outside of it while its running but it cannot be smelled inside the car with the windows down or anything. As soon as the car is off the smell vanishes. I checked the purge valve by applying 9V to it and it clicks open and closed. I pulled the back seat and the covers or the fuel tank and didn't smell or see any fuel. The car has a vacuum leak I know of because it sounds like its super charged sounds like it's under the manifold. Have an M50 manifold waiting to go in so ill do that eventually. Last thing I need to check I guess is the charcoal canister. The gas cap was also replaced with a brand new one. Any ideas? Thanks.

BUMP. Today I decided to finally take a look at the fuel expansion tank. I smelled a faint fuel smell but didn't see any obvious problems and just figured it had to do with the proximity to the filler neck. I turned to car on while it was up and didn't smell anything from the expansion tank area but did smell that the exhaust smells like unburned fuel. So maybe the car is running rich, but either way I want to fix the P0455 code. The richness could be from the vacuum leak that I am pretty positive the car has but this P0455 is so annoying. I may just get it coded out.Originally posted by M3StangYes I searched... P1421, P1423, P1250, P0455 are the codes my E36 M3 has been giving me. BUMP. After playing around with the fuel expansion tank I removed the spare tire and looked at the charcoal canister. I removed the valve from it and tested it and it worked with 12V. I then pulled the dash apart to get to the 5A fuel emissions control fuse (#50) and it was fine. At a loss here guys...
