    Trackday Diary

I decided to start this thread in order to remind myself of the much needed reinforcement in bushings/routine maintenance and such. And also upload some fun videos!

    8/31/16-Suzuka mtrlnd

    https://youtu.be/5-EH7SIVov0

    Car setup:

    Front tyres: NS-2R 235-45-17 (2 bar)

Rear tyres: Federal 595 RSR 255-40-17 (2.2 bar)

Brake pads: Endless racing compound front&rear

Engine oil: 5W-40 Shell Ultra Helix racing (LL01)

Differential oil: 75W-140 Cusco LSD oil

Transmission oil: Omega Spec 3 75W-250

    End result:

Max oil temp: 115C (ambient temperature 30-35C, very arid)

Power steering hose blew up. Also, there was a gasoline leak from part #12http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=16_0202

Amount was not much, but I am still concerned that the cause might be vacuum in the tank. I heard hissing noise when I opened the gas cap. Possible cause may be the new walbro 255 LPH pump that I installed. By the way, when you install the walbro pump, DO NOT use the plastic hose given by ebay sellers because 1. they are too long and will run your engine lean 2. weaker than rubber hose.

Is there a way to run dual pumps or pickups with the Walbro? Right-hand sweepers are going to be the enemy with under 3/4 tank of fuel and a single pump.

walbro pumps are smaller than stock ones so fitting should not be an issue if you use BW dual pumps. I haven't made the change yet tho
