    FYI: ISO: E36M Track Car

    Hey all,

First, I would like to apologize for posting what is basically a WTB thread outside of the marketplace sub-forum. I'm fully aware of the rules and contacted the site administrators beforehand to ensure this has approval.

I'm a new member coming from the E92M community that's looking to get into an E36M as a track car to work on car control and to get used to RWD.

I felt the E36M was a great platform and is way more sexy than an FR-S or a Miata to learn on.

I don't have the post count or account history to post a WTB in the marketplace, but if anyone has a E36 M3 coupe car for sale that matches this criteria, please post in here or send me a PM with details and your asking price:
    • <$10,000
    • 1996-1999
    • E36 M3
    • Coupe
    • Not black in color
    • Mileage <200,000
    • Clean title (no salvage cars please)
    • No accident history
    • No projects please
    • Has (most) smog equipment - I'm in California, so legal smog is important to me.
    • Everything works (Lights, A/C, etc, etc)
    • Running/driveable

    Modded cars are okay, too.

I sent a few members PMs, but I'm pretty sure they look like scams  I'm in the SF bay area and I'm willing to pay to have the right car shipped to CA. I've purchased (and sold) several cars out of state, so that's a non-issue for me. If you must complete the transaction in person, we can talk about that since I would have to pay for round trip airfare to finalize the paperwork

I'll more than likely be paying cash for this purchase FYI.

Looks good. Hopefully some good soul can steer you in the right direction to find your track car.

I'm in the Bay Area too. CraigsList probably has a dozen right now that fit or come close to your criteria within an hour of your place. For that price, you can get an E46 M3.

Hey thanks! I've been searching with the BRZO app that works pretty well.

Looks like most of those don't quite fit what I'm looking for.

A new one pops up everyday.

Also, 'No Accident History' and 'No projects please'? You'll have to pay a lot more.

Remember, these are 20yo cars driven by 20yo kids.

                    : )

new clutch, suspension is all done, just serviced at BMW, Active Autowerks exhaust, and the list goes on and on..

In all honestly, I'd keep the car if my finance wouldn't complain that I have four cars.

I am selling this one too....
