Because a body shop did and they shaved down the bottom of my OEM gt spoiler base. I asked them why they did this and they said it wasn't fitting properly. I just wanted to get your feedback on the situation.

Im looking to see if I have any pics of the spoiler when I received it. But it was only painted once and the base was flawless without the double sided tape and just had over spray from the original paint.
I bought it from the guy on BFC and most of the pics don't show.

I defiantly didnt give them a thumbs up to cut trim shape any in any way. I just requested it to be mounted. They sent me pictures of where they where going to drill the holes to mount and they had the spoiler in the pic and thats what I saw.
Not sure how this is going to turn out now but I sure hope its not a complete loss.

Its all merged together with the body work that has been getting done.
Ive talked to my lawyer and finds out that the "auto body" industry is a tough thing to sue or collect from because theres no set standard on time and value on projects. The shop my car is at quoted me 150hrs of labor on my build. 2 months of time and without throwing out my budget its not even in small claims here in CO. My car is still there to this day 7 months later unpainted and I was told 280hrs of labor on the car. Basically if I sue they could say that they put in more work than I am paying and the spoiler would end up being a wash.
So at this point Im trying to stay civil with the shop and work together and get the car done rather than just paying off my balance and taking it elsewhere where I will more than likely pay more to redo all the work done.
Its a really crappy situation but I am hoping for the best. The spoiler is defiantly usable and I am sure it will all fit properly at in the end.
