    Throttle Cable...No Go

So, I completed connecting the electric fan to the system then started the car and went for a ride to test. While driving, the gas pedal went soft all the way to the floor...I had to push the car into a parking lot.

It seems that it broke or disconnected by the pedal...just couldn't see with the under cover in place. A friend offered to tow the car after the football game. This is the first car I ever had that broke a throttle cable and of course, I am surprised. What should I start planning for?

Cheap fix but not sure about your build date...

    With ASC???

Unless it was so bound that it ripped out of the pedal. Then you need the cable and the accelerator pedal...

You're unlikely to break a throttle cable unless you removed the stopper under the throttle pedal.

The cable probably came out of the holders on the Throttle Body side. This is something you can go confirm right now quite easily.

It seems that the issue is inside the car by the pedals because the throttle body side is intact. So I was looking at the diagram, and it could be a bushing. I will look at it tin the morning. Most likely, it's the rubber grommet`

Yes, it's the rubber grommet for sure and ordered from ECS.

yeah, I recently replaced my cable and both grommets on the pedal were shot. One was missing entirely and the other was broken into two pieces. New cable + grommets improved the throttle feel a ton
