Google Veteran Co in Los Angeles. They have OE. Not cheap, but exactly the stuff.

Which cloth is it that matches the E36 headlining? I actually need some for a car I'm working on. This info is much appreciated. Their site is awful lol.

It's brutal. I called and the guy knew exactly the stuff right when I said e36m3. Black is BM134. $42/yard about 4 years ago.

Ha, he's about to get a few orders. This is my next project and I want to get the color right. Thx crqflier! I'm assuming 2 yards will cover the headliner.

That's probably the right color. It's def not pure black. Guess I've always thought of anthracite as spec'd on newer cars. It's an exact match on my '95.

so those that did use microsuede, how is it holding up?

Also for the diyers, what would u recommend as the best method for applying the glue? Section by section or spray the entire board with glue and just conform the fabric before it fully cures?

That BM134 fabric is excellent. Veteran Co sent me a sample and I took a photo of it next to my headliner in the car. Foam thickness (3/32") is the same as my spare sunroof motor cover panel.

                      Thank you crqflier!

Redid my headliner a couple years ago and it recently started sagging in the back again. I think it started falling where I creased it a bit to squeeze it back in the car and probably pulled some material loose from the glue. I couldn't stand seeing it blow around with the windows down. I just pulled it out, ripped the material off, and painted the fiberglass black. I think it looks great and I never have to deal with this bs again. The OEM guys here will hate it, but so far I could not be happier. Why do I need fabric above my head lol.

Oddly, I've never heard that solution. 10 points for thinking outside the box.

On the topic of spraying it... spray it with glue and then flock it!
