Sane street alignment for a square setup

Hey guys, I'm about to get new tires for my M3, 225/45R17s wrapped around a square set of 7.5" contours I just picked up.

As it stands, the alignment on my car is an absolute joke (my fault, not gonna lie), so it will definitely be getting an alignment while it's at the tire shop. It's on coilovers from the previous owner, and the ride height has been lowered - not sure how much, but the rear tires tuck a bit. I'm happy with the height for now, but I have no idea where to start on what toe/camber specs to tell the shop, since A. supposedly the stock alignment is bad and B. the stock alignment is for staggered wheels. I don't track or autoX (yet), and I don't drive like too much of an a**hole on the street, so I'm looking for a nice sane setup for now that's not too aggressive and doesn't eat tires for lunch. I can start tweaking it as I learn more and start autocrossing, but I'd like to not die yet.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Why are you running 225 squared?

Just get toe set somewhere between stock (.30 I think) and 0. Stock will hold the road straight better at speed, but wear the inside with camber. 0 will tramline but minimize inside tire wear.

I had my E46 setup with -2 Front with .18 total toe in and -1.6 rear with .15 total toe in.

I got a good deal on the 7.5" wheels, 225s fit them better than 235s, and there are almost no tires available in 235/40R17. Hopefully by the time these wear out it won't be a problem to shell out for a 245 square setup.

      Sounds reasonable, thanks!

What Braymond said will work great, however, it's hard to get those guys to hit target numbers. Communicating to the alignment guy is the hardest part. You have to sell the idea that it's OK to do what you say. They want to obey the computer but you want certain numbers. Then, all of a sudden, they no speaka no english. If they can hit camber numbers, great, but I don't bother. They ignore me 1/2 the time so I have to go back again. I'm on alignment target attempt #2 on Sunday. Wish me luck!

per Joe's recommendation, this is what I request.
