AudioControls DQX, a pair of Alpine V12 amps (1 4 channel and a mono amp for the subs), JL Audio stealthboxes, and the bav sound speakers.
JL made a stealthbox for the E36?

Why yes they did. Consists of two 8" ib subs with fiberglass adaptors, gray carpet.

Oh wow, you're right! I never thought to look them up figuring there was no real space to put them. Makes sense they replace the rear speakers since you have so much front stage on an E36. Very cool.

I replaced the rear speakers that were blown in my '97. They sound really good.

been wanting to do this for a very long time since the base rear nokia speakers in my 95 have been blown out since I bought the car. Looked for any PnP alternatives, but didn't find any that were compatible with a non-hk system on a 95...And I couldn't find any stealthboxes (shouldn't have sold all of mine years ago)

I did come across this thread:

                https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...ad.php?1979810

I bought all the parts, but haven't done the swap just yet because I have zero free time. If a reasonably-priced PnP solution comes available in the near future, I would definitely be interested.

                thanks.
