E36 m3 exhaust

Hi everyone I'm looking for a muffler for my e36 m3. I just sold my super sprint. I really didn't like it due to how quiet it was. I'm looking for one that is loud and is a good brand. Let me know what you guys have in mind.

The BW 3" race is loud.

Uuc system U is loud but sounds awesome imo

What you want is Corsa/UUC RSC36. IMO. Sounds the best. Quiet at light throttle, loud the rest of the time.

UUC Corsa is louder than system U unless it has dtm pipes, Eismann is loud and sounds fantastic, I have a Stromung and it's muted but is brand new so it remains to be seen how loud it actually is.

AA Track Pipes + UUC Sys U was pretty loud when my old E36 was NA. Sys U by itself is pretty noisy and has a fantastic exhaust note IMO. I loved that exhaust. My friends said the track pipes kinda ruined its exhaust note, but I still liked it. Was significantly louder without cats.

Stromung will be the best sounding exhaust out there for the price, not the loudest though.

Eisenmann 83mm Race if budget is no concern

B&B TriFlo if you just want the loudest standard muffler setup before going to a single BimmerWorld Race setup.

UUC is not a well respected company around here.


All of these will change tone anytime a forward component gets replaced (ie; mid, and headers). Comments are based on stock mid and manifolds.

Just curious: what happened with UUC?


It's been well over 10 years since I bought anything from them, but at the time they seemed pretty well respected. I've been out of touch with this board for about that long so just wasn't aware things went sideways with them. Not doubting you.. I'm just genuinely interested to hear what the story was there.

I would go with the BW 3" Race, its loud when you really get on it, but just cruising around isnt bad. I had a stromung on my last one and it was great, but deff a little mellow.
