    Dakar Distraction

I've got a long running thread over on the "other" forum, but really not much here. So I figured I'd post a shot or two from this past weekend after I spent some time detailing.

1995 e36m in San Diego its whole life. 61k miles on the clock.

Thanks. I'll upload a few more as soon as my photographer (wife) sends them to me.

I know this car. It's the cleanest e36 I've seen that gets driven. Pull back the sheepskin seat covers and it's the cleanest, wrinkle-free vaders you'll find.

Here's a shot of it 2 years ago at a San Diego BMWCCA Clean Car Show, Contest, and Charity Auction event.

                Bravo. It's a $20k+ car for sure.

Beautiful. Nice to see you over here. Even though there is a little less action over here than BF, I think its a better, more knowledgable community over here.

Thanks everybody. I've actually been on m3f for a dozen years. But for some reason never posted my rig here. I'll post some more once I get them loaded. If nothing else it's a good distraction.

Thanks Rad. I was in the UK a couple weekends ago so I missed the show this year. I did a better detail job for this pic than when you saw it a couple years ago. That show is usually my prompt for detail work.

Meh... I don't like it. Better hand it over!

The mesh is color matched, that thing's lost all it's value now. I'll take it off your hands if you want.

                            That's how they first came.

Proper original by the looks. Sweet.

Hope the sheepskin is a joke.

Ha! No joke on the skins.

PO had them custom made to protect the seats. First thing I did was take them off. But after driving around a week I realized I was constantly thinking about not screwing up the seats - so they went back on. They look pretty ridiculous, but no stress, and the bonus - seat works much better for hpde. Reality is, vaders kinda blow in terms of performance.

PO also had floor mats on top of the OE mats. Those are out. Gotta love the PO.
