S50B32 Flash DME from SMG to Manual

    Hello Everyone!

So my Euro E36 with S50B32 is converted from SMG to Manual. How can I flash the DME with the coding for a manual car.

    Thanks

    Still had problems with it?

The car stalls every time I am on the brakes and I press the clutch pedal. Also, the revs fall very quickly between shifts, so I have to blip the throttle even when I am shifting up gears.

I have replaced the fuel pressure regulator, idle control valve and checked for vacuum leaks.

The only thing I can think of now is the DME.

I don't see how revs dropping would have anything to do with DME. There is no ignition when off throttle and clutch depressed.

But I meant your SMG. Was it broken or you didn't like it or just a precaution?

What do you think is causing the revs to drop quickly? On other manual cars the revs hold for a few seconds and then drop rather slowly. On my car they just fall quite rapidly. Like if I am shifting from 3rd to 4th at around 4000 rpm, by the time I release the clutch pedal the revs are down to around 1500 rpm. So I have to blip the throttle to match the engine speed.

But the major concern is the engine stalling.

The SMG pump failed. So we decided to convert it to a manual.

Appreciate all help and advice I can get.

          Thanks

I don't know why it would drop that quickly other than a lighter flywheel. If anything, the SMG does a little blipping by keep firing the engine, we're still finding out.

So if anything, revs should drop not faster.

Too bad about the pump, although it will be the motor. If you want to sell your spares, give me a pm.
