Steering column gauge pod power source

Is there a generally used spot to grab power for a steering column gauge pod? I'm mounting mine, have the steering wheel off as well as the kick panel. There are a lot of wires under there. Is there a well-known location people are grabbing power for the gauges?

    Thanks!

Comb connector box. (Almost) any color wire you need. Just push in a new spade connector.

I use the wires directly from the ignition tumbler. Red for + at all times, green for + in run and start.

Quick question. I've got all the wiring in place. I have 2 gauges mounting on the steering column in a RallyRoad gauge pod. One gauge has Oil pressure and Oil temp. The other has Water temp and Volts. Both digital readouts. I'm thinking oil on the left and water on the right. Since it would be a bit of a pain to swap later, any thoughts? Not the biggest decision I've had to make but if there is a "standard" placement then I'd just assume do it right.

          Thanks!

I’d do oil on left too
