    Rough Idle E36 M3 (95 OBDI)

So I'm having an issue with my idle on my 95 M3. The car is OBD1, and sadly it is autotragic. I keep getting the 1262 error code for my ICV. I've put in a brand new ICV and I'm still getting the error. We tried unplugging the idle control valve to see if that fixed anything and the check engine light subsequently went away. At that point my idle was hovering around 500 RPM. We test drove it around the block, see video below, and it ran better. I still have some lifter tick but I think that's from the car sitting idle for like 6 months. When you do the stomp test, the code still comes up after the check engine light was removed, but it doesn't show up when driving. I think maybe the wiring is bad for the idle control valve, but I'm not sure. Let me know what you guys think the issue is with the car. Trying to get it so I can pass smog. Thanks.

reset the battery and see if that deletes the code, if you replaced and the code only comes up on stomp test pretty sure it just needs a reset to delete the stored code
