Have a look at this, which is a comparison of all the same motor, with various incarnations of it to have the m50 manifold used properly.

If you just put on the M50 manifold, from everything I've gathered you're not gonna get anything positive out of it. Really you need to do something like mentioned above. Intake, 3.5" MAF, injectors, cat back, simple tune. That should give you a nice overall package with noticeable peak HP gains over stock as well as torque gains.

Push it further with cams, TB, headers and additional tuning. Go even further with cat-less exhaust and more tuning. If I didn't have to worry about CA smog for a street legal car, this is what I would do. Poke around on the forums for a while and you'll see some guys have pretty potent setups.

Just gonna also point out that adding power is typically the last thing you should do to a car after every other aspect has been addressed, meaning handling and braking... Not to be a buzz kill or anything.

How dare you. No, he first needs to spend the $3-5K for the 15hp gain like the rest of us did to become part of the club.

I agree with maintaining cars to make sure the suspension and brakes are safe. Adding power is always at the top of my mod list. I do usually mod the suspension and sometimes the brakes, but my priority for mods is more power. Then suspension, then brakes. For street driving, the stock brakes are usually adequate.
