Hey guys unfortunately when I was removing my exterior door handle cover I didn't know that there was a locking tab that slides back and forth like people talk about on this forum. So what happened was when I was installing the new exterior door handle cover on my E36 I was pulling the Locking tab back while pressing on the outside of the door handle cover and for some reason the Locking tab got bent now I'm really screwed and I'm so ticked off about this how can I fix this without tearing the whole entire door handle off of the car do I have to remove the entire window and track assembly?

Yeah I rather not try to tilt it forward and remove it out of its place although you're right about having to eventually remove the whole entire window assembly because that's really the only way to get to the sliding track for the exterior handle. Also I guess that means do I have to drill out the rivets that hold in the window regulator motor and pull that out and then remove the window track and finally remove the window out of the door?Originally posted by jayjaya29You're going to have to tilt the window forward in the door which means pretty much dismantling the entire window assembly.
