    Regluing Door Card Inserts

What epoxy or glue is everyone using to reglue the center inserts on their door cards. This is more applicable to pre-airbag cards since the latter was riveted

The only thing that held up in my old 318is, was Barge's All Purpose Contact Cement.

3M stuff either dripped, due to the high temperatures in a California car with black interior, or failed after a couple years. Barge lasted the last 5 years of the car's life. This was in a car, which was never garaged, and lived its entire life in SoCal.

Most epoxies are too hard, so they ultimately fail from the doors expanding and contracting.

I've used 3M 08008 with great success. I glued my door panel pockets and mounting frame to the panel and it hasn't failed on me for the past 3 years. I live in Northern California where we have summers over 100 degrees, and so far it hasn't separated. I've also removed my panels multiple times for stereo upgrades or window regulator/motor, and nothing has failed.

Goop Marine is another option...handles high temperature very well.

2010 or so. It was not the low VOC version, I remember having to go through ebay, due to that issue.

I'd try VHB tape. I've used heavy duty 3m epoxy, but it doesn't hold up well to subsequent removals. It's too brittle. VHB tape is my next step as it allows some stretch.

I used Barge (non-low VOC) for that too. Was a little tough, because you have to get the alignment perfect as soon as you touch the pocket to the door. There's really no forgiveness for adjusting with contact cement.
