I have spent hours trying to get a new front door actuator installed

What is the magic trick to getting the new door lock actuator to line up and seat into the assembly? I cannot for the life of me get it to work. I have tried it with the harness on and off, as well as with the three t27 screws in and out (the thought being that by removing them, I would have the ability to tilt the assembly at the cost of less leverage). I am at a complete loss here. This should not be that complicated.

Make sure your actuator is slotted into the open position so that each piece can slot into where it should.

This video helped me a lot, but I assure, even knowing what I was doing, it was a ****ing struggle. Hard to do with, like you said, not much leverage, or not any maneuverability. Doesn't help you can't see shit either. In the video pay close attention to the white plastic slots and where the metal part of the latch slips in. Also, it helps to remove the window guide.

It’s a 5min procedure if you’re not dicking with the catch. All you need to do is pop the actuator off the new one and swap it on the old one. Your latch is fine, it’s the brushed motor in the actuator that fails.

You must remove the glass if you are going to insist on the whole assembly being removed.
